Our story

The journey to our footwear brand was full of small steps, big challenges and unforgettable moments. From the first attempts in the living room to night shifts in rented workshops to our own showrooms and unique collections – every year brought something new and every moment pushed us further.

This is a story of determination, passion for the craft, and the support of the people who believed in us. A story we would never have written without you, our customers and friends.

2012 - 2014

We are starting to write our story

Our story begins in this period. Mr. Jančařík worked as an external worker for various shoe companies and projects, where he gained valuable experience and contacts. At the same time, however, he carried within him the desire to create something of his own, something that would have personal value. The first shoes were thus created only for his closest friends – family, friends and acquaintances.

These attempts at self-production took place in conditions that seem almost romantic today. Plans and designs were created right in his living room, while the actual production took place in Uherský Brod, where he had access to machinery and equipment.

This time was full of preparations, searching for the right materials, techniques and processes. Although these were humble beginnings, it was here that the foundation for the future brand was created, which is based on honesty, quality and passion for craftsmanship.

2015

Brod production ends and our studio

After the first attempts at production in Uherský Brod, it was time to move on. We rented our very first premises – a small studio of just 12 m² in Slavičín and we started to have our shoes manufactured in Zlín. It was literally a “stubborn” start – we had two sewing machines, enthusiasm and the belief that what we were doing had meaning.

Our work began to take on a concrete form. Customers could come to us to try on the shoes in person or talk to us about their wishes and ideas. This gave us the opportunity to create truly unique, tailor-made pieces.

In addition, we started participating in markets and other events where we presented our work to a wider public. The orders gradually increased and we felt that we were on the right track. It was another important step in our development – small beginnings, but big dreams.

2016

With our stand throughout the country

We decided to go out among more people and created a busy calendar full of markets and events all over the Czech Republic. Our first big experience was the Prague waterfront, where we first visited and then returned regularly for the next five years. It was a place where we could bring our work closer to the wider public and make many valuable contacts.

During this period, we also created our first barefoot shoes – innovative and comfortable models that found their fans. But not everything always went smoothly. Sales sometimes did not meet our expectations and we also had a few funny (and not so funny) experiences. For example, one morning in Kopanice we found our stand “improved” by night visitors.

Despite all these challenges, we remained motivated. Orders continued to increase, and the greatest reward for us was satisfied customers, who recharged us with energy and gave meaning to our work.

2017

On the road and in new projects

Our journey continues, literally. We travel all over the Czech Republic with our stand, participating in markets, festivals and other events. Every weekend a new destination awaited us – from picturesque villages to bustling cities. It was not only a working experience, but also an enriching one. We got to know new places, met people who shared our passion for honest craftsmanship, and heard their stories. This period was a great adventure for us.

In addition, we embarked on a new project that opened new doors for us. We got involved in the production of barefoot shoes, which was a direction that fit perfectly with our values. Barefoot shoes focus on healthy movement and natural comfort, which resonated with our philosophy of creating shoes that not only look good, but also benefit. For the next six years, we ensured production within this project and took our craft to the next level. It was an opportunity for us to learn new techniques, adapt to specific requirements and prove that we can produce not only high-quality, but also innovative products.

Thanks to these experiences, we have been convinced that the path we have taken is the right one.

2018

A year full of hard work and dreams of your own home

In 2018, we were fully dedicated to developing our production. Preparatory work and sewing were taking place in Slavičín, but the production capacities of our contract workshops were completely exhausted. In order to handle all the orders, we started renting these premises for afternoon shifts. We often produced until the early morning hours, when everything was quiet and we tried to perfect every detail.

In addition, we regularly went to design events and markets on weekends, where we presented our work and met with customers. It was an extremely demanding period that took a lot of our energy, but also showed us how determined we were.

One of the unforgettable moments of that year was our little Viktor. While we were working in the workshop, he played with a box of materials and finally fell asleep next to it, exhausted. This image perfectly captures the reality of that year – work, family and trying to manage everything at once.

Our greatest wish at that time was to have our own production facilities. A place where we could create without restrictions, more efficiently and with greater freedom. This dream drove us forward, despite all the difficulties and endless work. We knew that what we were doing had meaning, and we believed that one day we would have a space where our story would continue with even greater strength.

2019

At the crossroads – production and sales at risk

2019 was a challenging year for us. We continued to produce in rented premises, working afternoons and nights. It was exhausting, but thanks to our enormous commitment, we were able to keep production running and our customers satisfied.

A big step forward was the launch of our e-shop. This was the first major step towards making our shoes accessible to a wider audience. It was a completely new experience for us, which advanced us not only in the area of sales, but also in communication with customers.

However, at the end of the year, we were faced with an unexpected blow – we lost one of the key opportunities to rent production space. This left us at a crossroads. Suddenly, we had nowhere to produce, and to make matters worse, the moment was approaching when we would have nowhere to sell either. We were faced with the question of how to continue.

This difficult time forced us to think about the future of our brand and find new ways to overcome obstacles. Despite all the difficulties, we knew that we wanted to continue because the work we do has meaning. It was a moment of uncertainty, but also a challenge that was supposed to strengthen us.

2020

A dream come true about own production

We entered the new year with determination and a clear goal – to start our own production. However, we had a difficult journey ahead of us. We started looking for machines all over the Czech Republic, but without success. Our search eventually took us to Poland, where we discovered exactly what we needed – refurbished machines that would allow us to start producing on our own.

We celebrated our purchase in Poland in style – with a beer in Warsaw. We returned home happy and nervous at the same time, literally at the last minute. Our trip back to the Czech Republic fell on the day the borders were closed due to the pandemic. We had machines, but the situation brought new challenges.

We launched our first advertising campaigns, which led to a larger number of orders. However, the pandemic hit us hard – all sales events were cancelled, so we had to rely on our e-shop and cooperation with a key partner.

However, halfway through the year, we achieved what we had long dreamed of. Our production was completely ready and for the first time we were able to produce shoes from start to finish in our own premises. It was a dream come true for us – our own facilities, our machines and our team. In addition, we were able to secure two different technologies, which allowed us to expand our capabilities and offer even further.

This year has been full of challenges, but also victories. Despite all the obstacles, we have managed to take a huge step forward and build a solid foundation for the future of our brand.

2021

Pandemic, sneakers and our first "showroom"

The year of the pandemic brought many changes, but at the same time it made us look for new opportunities. In addition to traditional models, we added sneakers to our offer – comfortable and stylish shoes that customers quickly fell in love with. We also transformed the entrance hall of our workshop into a small “showroom”, where people could not only view the shoes, but also try them on. Despite the complications associated with the pandemic, more and more customers started coming directly to us.

Orders were increasing, which made us extremely happy. Our work gained more visibility and we even appeared on ČT24.

Even though the markets were very limited, we were able to reach some of them. Direct contact with customers, albeit in a limited mode, remained extremely important for us. Thanks to our own production, we were able to focus more on the quality and improvement of our products. Every pair of shoes passed through the hands of our team with maximum care and attention to detail.

Thanks to new ideas, hard work, and the support of our customers, we managed this year and moved our brand one step further.

2022

New beginnings and a record-breaking season

This year was a turning point for us. We started working with a marketing agency that helped us take our brand to the next level. At the same time, we ended our multi-year collaboration on the barefoot footwear project. We entered the fall season on our own – with our own direction and vision.

One of the main milestones of the year was the new winter footwear collection. We introduced the Mark, Farm and Farm Low models, which we are really proud of. Each of them reflects our philosophy - honest craftsmanship, quality and thoughtful design.

After a long search, we managed to find the ideal space for our first showroom in Prague. This step was a huge step for us. Our Tom moved to the capital, opened the branch there and created a space where customers can get to know our products better.

The autumn season was a record. Orders exceeded our expectations, which was confirmation for us that the steps we took were right. But the biggest success for us was that we were able to become independent. We stood on our own two feet, we see it as a great victory and we are extremely grateful for the support of our customers, who trust us and inspire us to continue working.

2023

A year of growth and new milestones

We started the new year on the right foot. On January 1st, we were in for a huge surprise – an article about our brand in Forbes. It was an incredible recognition and motivation for us to keep going. We gradually added new products to our range, and thanks to cooperation with a marketing agency and a mention in Reportér magazine, we experienced a record spring season. Orders grew and with them our determination.

The beginning of summer brought another big step – we introduced our own collection of barefoot sneakers and ballerinas. We had been working on these models for many months, and when we were finally able to show them to the world, it was a huge moment for us. The collection was met with enthusiasm and the interest of customers confirmed to us that this was the right path.

Orders kept coming in, so our production was running at full speed. During the year, we focused on getting everything done and maintaining the high quality that is key to us. We carefully prepared for the autumn and winter season, which ended up being great.

2023 was a year of growth, new opportunities, and goals achieved for us. We are grateful for all the support and trust our customers have shown us, and we look forward to what lies ahead.

2024

Brno and unique projects

After the Christmas season, we finally had a moment of respite in January. It was only for a short time, because we immediately started preparing for the spring season. Then came the news that excited us - free space appeared in the center of Brno. We had wanted a showroom in Brno for a long time, so we didn't hesitate for a moment.

Production was in full swing, so in the afternoon we took off our aprons and regularly left for Brno to work on the new branch. It was hectic, but the vision of another accomplished goal drove us forward. At the same time, we were preparing a new summer collection of slippers, which we presented to customers at the beginning of the summer along with several other new models.

We officially opened our Brno showroom in April. This step was a huge milestone for us and further confirmation that hard work and determination bring results.

During the spring peak, we had the opportunity to participate in a unique project - we produced 200 pairs of exclusive sneakers for Sazka. It was an honor for us and also an opportunity to show what we can do.

Summer brought us a moment of peace, allowing us to focus on preparing for the fall and winter seasons. This turned out to be another record-breaking season – our products found their way to even more customers who appreciated the quality and honesty of our work.

The year 2024 was full of challenges, growth and fulfilled wishes for us. The showroom in Brno, unique projects and a record season – all of this gave us energy and the desire to continue with even greater enthusiasm.
